A Royal Homecoming: Senator Fanny Moussokoura Chantal Honored in Warri Kingdom
Warri Kingdom had the distinct honor of hosting Her Excellency, Senator Fanny Moussokoura Chantal, Vice President of the Senate of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, a proud daughter of the Kingdom from the Ogheye-Eghoroke community.
Accompanied by family members and the Ivorian ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Kalilou Traore, the delegation was welcomed with royal warmth, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry and proud heritage of the Itsekiri people.
The day began with a Town Hall Meeting at Aghofen, the Palace of the Olu of Warri, themed "The Role of Women in Community Development." In a heartfelt keynote address, Senator Chantal announced her gift to the Kingdom — the establishment of a French Primary School, affirming her deep-rooted commitment to her homeland.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions, His Majesty Ògíamẹ̀ Atuwatse III CFR conferred upon her the Royal Order of Iwere (ROI), a revered title reserved for individuals of exceptional achievement and character.
The celebration continued with electrifying cultural performances by the Ogheye-Eghoroke community, currently serving their Ghigho Aghofen duty. Their display added color and meaning to an already historic event.
This historic homecoming is a clarion call for all Itsekiris around the globe to reconnect, reinvest, and reignite the spirit of unity in advancing Warri Kingdom's greatness.
